The Hotel Área is strategically located in Rome, surrounded by the business zones in the south of the city. It is easily reachable from the Nuova Fiera trade fair grounds, Fiumicino Airport and the GRA (Rome ring road) yet also close enough to the major tourist attractions in the Eternal City. We are very close to the EUR business zone (with its Palace of Congresses) and Cristóforo Colombo. We are also surrounded by the Ostiense and Testaccio neighbourhoods. Testaccio is the home to Macro Future, a branch of the Contemporary Art Museum set aside for new artistic expressions. Near the hotel is the PalaLottomatica, the largest pavilion in Rome which hosts numerous sporting, music and cultural events, as well as the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, popularly known as the Colosseo Quadrato. From Ostiense station there is a train every 15 minutes to Fiumicino International Airport. By car, it is easy to reach both of Rome?s airports. The hotel is just a 15-minute walk to the impressive Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls (San Paolo Fuori le Mura, one of the four cathedrals of Rome. Saint Paul?s Basilica, declared a UNESCO Human Heritage Site and the second largest cathedral in Rome, has a curious feature: it is not part of Italy, rather it is extra-territorial property of the Holy See, the Vatican. The hotel is also near the Università degli Studi Roma Tre. Via the Marconi underground stop, just 5 minutes away, all the wonders of the Eternal City are there for you to discover: Fontana di Trevi, Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza di Spagna, Via Veneto, Santa Maria Maggiore, the Coliseum, the Quirinale, Trajan?s Column, the Imperial Fora, Castello de Sant?Angelo, Piazza Navona, Villa Borghese, Campo dei Fiori, the Palazzo Farnese and of course the Vatican and Trastevere.
